Dearest Visitor,

  1. Do not eat a heavy meal before you are about to study or before you are going to do homework requiring you to concentrate. REASON: Your brain has a role in the digestion of food and in translating the food you ate. That is why, that when you have eaten a heavy meal or a big plate of food that you begin to feel sleepy soon after. Stick to a small meal, preferably fruit and yogurt.

  2. Eating breakfast in the morning helps your brain to concentrate, but healthy breakfast, not something that is sugary. FEW SUGGESTIONS: Oats with one brown sugar if you must, toast and egg, wheat bix, pronutro, mealie pap.

  3. Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day to help your body and brain function.
